Peer Review Process Description
International Scientific Days 2024 – “From Field to Finance: Addressing Economic Challenges”

All papers published in the International Scientific Days 2024 Conference Proceedings underwent a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and scientific relevance of the accepted contributions.
Review procedure
- Submission and initial screening: All submitted manuscripts were received via the conference management system and checked by the editorial board for formal compliance with submission guidelines, originality, and thematic alignment with the conference topics.Papers not meeting the basic formatting or ethical requirements (e.g., plagiarism, insufficient originality) were excluded before review.
- Double-blind review: Each paper was anonymized and independently reviewed by two qualified reviewers who were experts in the relevant field of study. Reviewers were selected from the international list of scholars affiliated with partner universities and research institutions.
The list of reviewers (included in the proceedings) comprised academics from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Lithuania, and other European countries.
- Evaluation criteria: Reviewers evaluated the manuscripts according to standardized criteria, including:
- originality,
- relevance to the conference theme,
- scientific merit,
- clarity of objectives,
- methodology,
- data quality,
- literature review,
- conclusions,
- language and style,
- strengths, weaknesses, suggestions for improvement.
Each reviewer provided both quantitative evaluation (numerical scoring) and qualitative comments with suggestions for improvement.
- Decision process: Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board categorized manuscripts as accepted without revision, accepted with minor or major revisions, or rejected.Authors of papers requiring revisions were invited to submit corrected versions, which were re-evaluated before final acceptance.
- Timeline: The peer review process took place between November 7, 2024, and January 31, 2025, ensuring sufficient time for evaluation, feedback, and revisions.
- Final approval: The final version of each accepted paper was reviewed by the editorial committee for consistency, formatting, and compliance with ethical publishing standards. The conference proceedings were approved by the Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on December 11, 2024, as a peer-reviewed scientific publication
Publication and accessibility
The final reviewed proceedings were published online under the title:
“International Scientific Days 2024 – From Field to Finance: Addressing Economic Challenges”, ISBN 978-80-552-2816-7, and released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
Each paper was assigned a DOI and made accessible via the official conference website (https://isd2024.fem.uniag.sk) and institutional repository.
Quality assurance
The entire review and publication process was supervised by the Scientific and Editorial Committees, composed of internationally recognized academics, ensuring the high scientific and ethical standards required for indexing in international databases.
